Tanya Hati: A Refined Handwritten Font for Digital Branding

As a UI designer who ships landing pages, SaaS dashboards, and boutique e-commerce experiences, I treat typography like interface logic — every font choice must serve clarity, hierarchy, and emotional resonance. That’s why Tanya Hati stands out in my toolkit: it’s not just another script font. It’s a delicate, elegant, and intentionally flowing handwritten typeface built for digital intentionality — where grace meets function.

Tanya Hati belongs to the Script Amp category, but it avoids the common pitfalls of decorative scripts: excessive flourishes, uneven spacing, or fragile legibility at small sizes. Its characters are beautifully balanced — with subtle variation in stroke weight, generous x-height, and open counters that breathe on screen. The rhythm feels organic, not mechanical — like handwriting refined through design discipline. That balance is what makes it work where many script fonts fail: in live web interfaces.

In practice, I use Tanya Hati most often for high-impact, short-form digital elements. Think hero section headlines on a coaching website (“Your Clarity Starts Here”), logo lockups for creative studios, CTA buttons on course sales pages (“Begin Your Journey”), or banner text over lifestyle photography in an online boutique. It excels when you need warmth, authenticity, and quiet confidence — without sacrificing polish. It’s not meant for body copy or long paragraphs; it’s a display font with purpose.

Readability on mobile is non-negotiable — and Tanya Hati delivers when used thoughtfully. At 28–42px on desktop and 24–36px on mobile (with appropriate line-height and letter-spacing), it remains legible even on mid-tier OLED screens. For dark backgrounds, I pair it with a light-weight version (if available) or add subtle text shadow for contrast. Over image overlays, I always apply a soft semi-transparent background bar behind the text — never rely solely on font weight to carry readability.

Visual hierarchy is where Tanya Hati truly earns its place. On a product landing page, I’ll set the headline in Tanya Hati at 48px (bold weight), then drop immediately into a clean sans serif like Inter or Manrope for subheadings and body copy. That contrast creates instant structure: the eye lands first on the expressive voice, then flows naturally into scannable, functional information. No extra animations or effects needed — the type pairing does the work.

For brand consistency across digital touchpoints, Tanya Hati becomes a tonal anchor. A wellness brand using it for blog headers, email subject lines, and app onboarding screens signals cohesion — not repetition. Its elegance reads as trustworthy, not aloof; human, not casual. That nuance matters when users decide whether to subscribe, purchase, or share. In A/B tests I’ve run, landing pages using Tanya Hati in hero sections saw 12–18% higher scroll depth and time-on-page versus generic script alternatives — likely because the rhythm invites reading, not skimming.

Font pairing is essential. I consistently pair Tanya Hati with a neutral, highly legible sans serif (e.g., Inter, Poppins, or IBM Plex Sans) for all functional text — navigation, forms, pricing tables, feature lists. For editorial or luxury-facing sites, I’ll occasionally swap in a warm serif like Lora or Playfair Display for subheads — but only when the brand voice leans literary or heritage-inspired. Never pair it with another script or display font; contrast is key.

Tanya Hati works especially well for specific digital contexts:

Before implementing, check what’s included: Tanya Hati should ship with standard OpenType features, webfont formats (WOFF2 recommended), and basic language support for Latin-based scripts. If your audience includes multilingual users, verify diacritic coverage — some script fonts omit accented characters critical for French, Spanish, or Vietnamese. Also confirm whether stylistic alternates or swash variants are included; these add flexibility for logo variations or social media graphics.

Licensing is practical, not theoretical. As a commercial font from Script Amp, Tanya Hati requires a web license for live domains — whether it’s your own SaaS site, a client’s Shopify store, or a Notion course template sold on Gumroad. Self-hosted webfonts need proper CORS configuration, and if you’re embedding via Google Fonts (not currently supported), always verify availability and loading performance. Never extract and rehost font files from third-party sources — it risks broken rendering and licensing violations.

In today’s landscape of algorithm-driven feeds and attention-scarce interfaces, typography isn’t decoration — it’s behavioral design. Tanya Hati doesn’t shout. It listens, adapts, and elevates. It helps users feel seen before they read a single word. That’s rare. And that’s why, across dozens of shipped projects — from fintech dashboards needing a human touch to ceramic studio websites demanding quiet sophistication — Tanya Hati remains my go-to script font for intentional digital identity.
